This class is for Kids + Teens who have taken the Beginner Sewing Class or have sewing experience. In these classes students make a comfy pair of Flannel Pajama or Cotton Lounge Pants with an elastic waist.

Students will re-enforce the basics of sewing as well as learn new skills. In this class students will learn how to place fabric “on grain”, how to sew straight and curved seams, how to use a Serger to clean finish straight and curved fabric edges, how to hem and add an elastic waist.

Learners will complete this Intermediate class with more knowledge about fabrics, pattern placement, measuring and step by step guidance of project.

Our small classes provide a fun and creative learning environment with less wait time (max 2 students).

In this class students will learn:

*more useful sewing terminology

*how to safely use a Serger machine

*how to sew and serge a straight and curved seam

*importance of pressing

*hemming

*how to create an elastic waistband

*more valuable sewing skills

Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Fabric + Supplies + Equipment:

Fabric is NOT included. Approximately 1.5 - 2 yards of cotton or cotton flannel is needed for kids/teen sizes. Please contact us for guidance in fabric selection.

Sewing machines are provided. If you have a sewing machine of your own, please feel free to bring it!
